I have a 17. It’s ok at best.
Outdated, slow, low payload, it feels cheap. I love how reliable it is, never had anything mechanical go out on it. It’s pretty solid. |

Quoted: My 2011 Rock Warrior has been a great truck but the gas mileage has TANKED recently and we can't figure out why. Went from 15-17mpg highway to like 8-10. Compression and all the other sensors and tests come back normal. View Quote Check for frozen calipers. I had the LR frozen from day one, so 12 mpg is all I ever got. After replacing all the calipers and brakes at 40K, I instantly started to get 15mpg. |

2005 Tundra Double Cab - 328,000 miles ODO
17-19 MPG Other than upper control arm/ball joints and U joints on rear have no mechanical issues Daily driver |

2006 Tundra. 350k miles. Never done anything mechanical to it. Drives perfect.

2014 DC 4x4 Limited.
205k miles. Thing is a towing machine. Wife got me an aftermarket remote start that I need to install yet, other than that I only wish I had a set of airbags installed. Fantastic truck and I beat the crap out of it like a work truck. |
|
2010 was a farm truck, got hammered on before I got it. Just replaced value covers, might have the cam tower leak- I'm not gonna do it until I really have a problem. I have 160k on her at this point.

|
2004 SR5, 130k miles. I bought from a a friend who was trained as an A&P. It's ready for a timing belt service, but other than that, it's been great.
|
|
Ended up cancelling the order, as the truck had a street suspension and wheels.
Replaced with a base white SR5 4x4 with convenience package, estimated to arrive in early June. Only planned mods are TRD or Go Rhino raptor style running boards, bed cover, and catalytic converter anti theft skids. Thieves use a sawzall to remove the four cats in a few minutes, and they're about 4k to replace. |

Payload rating is for highway speeds and is meaningless for all of rhe manufacturers.
I have shoveled up 5,000 lbs of rock and hauled it across town multiple times. I have had 3 to 4 thousand pounds of steel in the back as well. Would I drive down the interstate with that, hell no. But I would haul across town without a second thought. Just slow down and take it easy. People act like if you exceed the manufacturers rating by 1 lb the entire truck will instantly fall apart. I honestly don't think there is any real difference between any of the 1/2 ton trucks out there. They are all many many times more capable than 1/2 tons were 30 years ago. |

I love mine. 16 or 17. Other than gas mileage, it’s a awesome truck. It’s lacking features that other models of the same year. Mine has almost 100k and no issues. If you can, get the non flex fuel model. They’re rated from the manufacturer to only require an oil change every 10000 miles. Vs every 5000 miles.

I have a 2011 5.7, only wish it was 4x4 but I was poor at the time lol. 150k miles and only change the oil, tires and about to do the 3rd set of brakes. I do need to replace the s belt soon as it squeaks when it's real wet outside. Other than that it has had no problems.

2019 SR5 TRD pro package. Absolutely love the truck. Lots of mods planned

I had a 2018 Tundra I loved. Great truck. I pulled 11,000 pound loads no problem.
I'm in a Tacoma now. Better suits my needs and as a plus its a manual tranny. |

2001 Limited that I bought used about 4 years ago. I've had to put some money into her, but I have no complaints.

2020 limited, solid truck, just works great. Plastics feel cheap but they don’t squeak or rattle, seats are nice. 5.7 is silky smooth and moves when you get on it plus it doesn’t have auto stop start or cylinder shut off, trans is perfect, always in the right gear with no clunking or bucking ever. Ac could be colder but other than that it’s a great truck that I might just keep for a couple decades.

Quoted: Just received a message that my Tundra is just being built, and to expect to take delivery by mid-July. View Quote If you are in Texas, your Tundra has a scheduled build date of mid-July if you are being told to expect a mid-July delivery date. Tundras out of TMMT are on a truck to Gulf States Toyota within hours of hitting the load lines. They are usually on the ground in Houston within five hours of loading in San Antonio unless a driver doesn't have the hours to make it back. Once at GST the average vehicle is processed and shipped out within 48 hours of arrival. There is only one Toyota dealer in Texas that can't be reached in one day's driving hours from Houston. Mid July is what the salesman texted me today, which lines up with what I'm reading on the Tundra forums. He also sent me a screen shot of the start of the build date (26 May). Google states it takes Toyota 30+ days to build a vehicle (not Tundra specific). |

I do know TMMT used to claim something under 24 hours from raw materials to driving out the door. Im any case of I happen to haul your Tundra I promise it'll make it in one piece. I like those rims on the TRD, but Toyota wants something like $700 each.

Traded a 2016 Tacoma for 2018 Tundra 1794. Liked the Tacoma but it was a little small. I love the space in the Tundra. Added Amp Research Power Steps. I just turned 50k and only had routine wear items replaced> Really happy with it.

I have a 2010, silver, 2 wheel drive, extended cab with the 5.7. Runs great and just broke 130k. I have only replaced one battery and had an air blower failure. The blower thing and is a known defect that was covered for free until 100k on my truck. The blower went out around 85k. Thing cost them something like 4k to repair or so I was told. The truck is my daily driver.

View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Buy them used when someone takes them off for Rockstar or Fuel wheels with a wider offset. Quoted: Our shop truck is a 2020 TRD PRO V8. Drives nice.... but my two complaints... 1x brakes require too much movement and pressure to stop to the point I don't trust them. Weird... mine work great. When I rented a 26' trailer and didn't realize the brakes didn't work until after I had 5000 lbs loaded on it, then not one but TWO moms in suburbans decided to turn left right in front of me, by Tundra slowed me down enough to prevent an accident. Again, without trailer brakes. Now the brakes aren't an on/off switch like some cars, but they certainly work well. Some peeps put on 20" wheels, a caliper bracket from IDK what, and bigger rotors, but I haven't had the need. Even coming down 4000-5000 foot descents with my trailer loaded up (which has working brakes), everything's A-OK in the braking department. |

My 2015 5.7 SR5 4x4 DC has 146k on it. I've had it since 75k. The only maintenance beyond oil changes is I had a squeaking serpentine belt, so the swap took about 15 minutes. It took longer to take the skid plate off for access than it did to change the belt. I changed spark plugs yesterday for the first time. I don't know if they were originals with 146k but they had at least 70k on them amd didn't really needed changed but I have a road trip ahead of me and wanted some assurance of no issues.
Gone are the days of swapping plugs for $20. These were $96, but every 100k makes it easier to deal with. |

The 2021 finally got Apple car play added. Best towing 1500 I’ve owned. Gas mileage suffers for it.
