Just got off GunBroker because of this thread. So far, I have withstood temptation. You started a master race thread and you're not master race? https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/109690/169717FC-F12E-406A-90DF-BF35C11732FB_jpeg-847928.JPG |

My right shoulder used to be my ‘bad shoulder’. Had a replacement on the left one Wednesday because it got worse.
I’m not sure I could do the recoil anymore... |

Hey guys. I am thinking about buying a Uberti 1885 Highwall in .45-70. My question is this... how hard would it be for a gunsmith to thread the octagonal barrel for a suppressor?

I load my .45-70 with 300 or 350 gr and Reloader 7 powder (I think between 45 to 47 grains, can’t remember)
Loaded to 1895 specs for my Henry |

Depending on diameter it can be done but you'd probably pay extra for it being octagon. They'd have to turn the end until round then thread-extra steps=extra money. IMO a threaded octagon barrel wouldn't look right. If threading I'd get a round barrel model. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:
