Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. Helen Keller

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you’re capable of great violence.
If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful, you’re harmless. |

New knife day. On accident. I went to the Costco business center for the cheap pork butts to make bratwurst. Got surprised walking through the front of the store by this thing. $12.97, made in the USA. I almost had to, given my current side projects.(I didn't have anything to compare mine to).

Haven't had it in years, decades probably. Trying to eat healthy and get back in shape so not going to happen now. I don't like to starve myself, so I try to lose weight by exercise and eating quality food. Cinnamon Toast Crunch is not that. That's why I've pretty much cut out the alcohol as well. Empty calories. I'm not going to bust my ass to burn 600 calories on the elliptical just to undo the work with a few beers. On "vacation" for a few days now so I'm indulging a bit, hence the NoDak beer. Which is just OK. Darn kids rushing me in the cooler. |

Less duplication, especially in production knives, in favor of variety and custom/semi-custom pieces. And, I've always thought Thorburn's knives looked good. They, or this one at least, is even better in person, both in appearance and in felt quality. |
