Rescued this one from an animal shelter this weekend. She was surrendered by her owner.  She spent today at the vet getting a full checkup, shots, and spayed.

Given their ears, I think "Radar" would be a good GSD name.

GSD pup is my first GSD.
However, I have a pug that could clone it's self weekly in shed hair and my English Bulldog  sheds a fair amount.
I'm already running the vacuum frequently.
May as well see how bad it can be.

Thank y’all for sharing your GSDs!  Beautiful dogs!

I miss mine!  Screw the shedding—100% worth it for the companionship of a GSD!

Thanks again!

I don't know how accurate this chart is, but 50# at 4.5 months looks like Hank (above) will be (is) a big boy.

ETA: good looking dog.

I'm expecting 80-90lb. His mom is in the low end of that range and his dad is taller than her. Czech working line. He has been adding 3-4lb a week, like clockwork. He was only 9lb at 9 weeks when we got him (pics on page 2 of this thread). I was worried about a month ago he was getting chubby, but the vet said he looked and felt fine. He is eating about 2lb a day, on raw.

That is hopeful.
My pup pictured above at 10 weeks was small, off the chart small when we got him at 7 weeks.
At 7 weeks he was just 4.5# (sad)
By 9 weeks he was 9.2#
12 weeks @ 18.5#
Today is start of week 13 and he is 21.5# (slim)
I'm encouraged that he will reach typical male GSD weight in a few more months.

Not so sure how much I believe that chart; Shadow at 42 lbs at 5 months indicates she'll be 146 lbs at 18 months??

Her mom was about 66 lbs.

Thanks for the info.
I've wondered about that, I've been recording weight on the 1st day of the week, like the day he turned 13 weeks; I think the middle of the week would be a bit more "accurate" for how much he weighs at whatever week, 21.5# weight at start of week would easily be 23# by mid week.

Ear almost / trying to stand sometimes is more accurate, it is still down more than it is up; pic representative of an "up" moment.
