If you all actually knew any gay people you'd know that these are actually gay cars:

Every time I see a smart car I have an urge to drive over it. Parked and empty of course.

I drive a crew cab 4X4. My hubby and his friends tease me that they're going to get one for me for my birthday. Nope.

I'd never tell my hubby what to do, what to buy or what to drive... except for that. I draw the little tiny gay line right there.

Most people I see with the smart car are grey hairs, husband and wife, going to farmers markets.

Aah, the Del Sol.  That was supposed to be the third generation CR-X, just renamed because the insurance companies caught wind of what a CR-X could do.  Everywhere else it was the CR-X Del Sol.  Too goddamn ugly to fall in love with, but I do wonder how it performed compared to the C-Rex.

nailed.....it's a beard for queers.  guys that drive 25ft long bro-dozers, that will never see anything worse than a gravel road...although,  watching them ease their dozer over parking lot speedbumps is pretty funny.

The Murano convertible is for grandmothers, not gay men. Gay men drive BMWs and Audis, they sure as hell aren’t driving the 7 45 year old AMCs still on the road.

I think the OP was raised in the 70's and 80's, therefore calling something "gay" doesn't literally mean "homosexual", but rather, "gross"/"lame"/"undesirable"/"stupid"/etc.  As in "my parents are so gay, they won't let me go to the Scorpions concert in Veterans Stadium"

People buy a Tacoma when they want less power, less capacity, less room and poorer fuel economy, but pay more than a 1/2 ton Big 3

Those B210's were dependable cars. Rustbuckets, but ran good. Preferred the 2 door hatchback though.

If done right a Mustang II doesn't look too horrible.  Once in awhile I see one that looks pretty sharp.

I came across a Pacer in U-Pull-It a few weeks ago, it was kinda cool to look at.  Doors were HUGE and I couldn't believe how heavy the hood was.

Interesting how much crap the Aztec catches considering how groundbreaking of a car it was.  It was just about the first real crossover SUV.

I have nothing but good memories of the Pacer. Next door neighbor had one... she was the captain of our HS cheerleaders. On many afternoons she'd see me walking home from track practice and offer me a ride. It was such a hardship, having to squeeze in the back seat with a few cute cheerleaders in their short skirts....

Good times. Good Times.

I had an X-90. My first new car. It was ridiculous. Even funnier because I am gigantic.

I would frequently come out of places and find people (sometimes groups of people) standing there looking at it trying to figure out what the hell it was. People would occasionally ask me what it was at stoplights, gas stations, etc.  I've never had this happen with any other car.

Friend of mine at work heard a female coworker say to her friend, "Who would drive a car like that?"  Fair question, I suppose.

You can park two of them sideways in a normal parking spot.

Mine was the base model.  $99 a month lease with $1500 down. RWD, no air, 5-speed.

For a while they were giving one away free at a local dealer if you bought a Buick.  I've also seen them given away free with the purchase of a condo in Toronto around 2000 or so.

I totaled mine when it spun out on an icy road, hit a snowbank, and flipped.  Slid down the road on the roof.  Which exploded, because it had T-tops.  17 years later I still occasionally pick small pieces of glass out of my head. Worst car ever for snow and ice.  Extremely short wheelbase and rear wheel drive. They did make a 4WD version. Should have gotten that one.

FWIW, the gay people I know drive the following:
Ford Explorer, Honda Fit, Mercedes S500, Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, Tacoma 4x4, Land Rover and one has a garage full of vintage British sports cars.

Not a Miata or PT cruiser to be found.

I think some here are missing the point.  The penguin wasn't asking about the ugliest car.  Pacers  are ugly as hell no doubt, but nobody buys a car like that because they crave a certain kind of attention.   IMHO any car that is bought just to get attention is ghey, like v6 automatic "muscle" cars, the Smart (unless you live in London or NYC and you share an expensive parking spot), Mall crawlers, Bro dozers, etc.

This might have been true 20 years ago.

Modern automatic transmissions outperform manuals by every metric, and some of the other engine options are getting pretty good.

If you went by total number of homosexuals driving a single vehicle,I am sure that Ford pickups will be in the top 5. They sell lots of them. Lots of gays and lesbians buy the same things as everyone else. By sheer mass of sales there are more gays in pickups than Miatas by a huge margin.
