My best guess depending on this and that is probably between 5-10k for what you see.

Yep. The gauges as well as well as practically any parts are high priced. If only they had saved more of the planes etc.

There are a bunch of fakes on fleabay, but there are also people selling reproductions labeled as so. That said it would still be shocking how much a complete panel would be. The WW2 generation are almost gone, and their kids are inheriting piles of stuff they do not know what to do with. Lots of it will probably end up in the trash.

Depending on your crafty-ness level, the company Eduard from the CZ makes a 1/4 model of the 109 and 110 instrument panels. I don’t believe they are still in production, but you can probably still snag one off eBay. I have both, but some day I really need to build the 1/1 scale kit I have if the K-13 control stick. It was a very limited production...only 150 made, but cheaper than buying a real one.

The Kriegsmarine evacuated 2 million Germans from Courland and East Prussia in Operation Hannibal after the Soviets cut off the region. Marinesko sunk the liner Wilhelm Gustloff on 30 January 1945 killing an estimated 9,400 people, the greatest single maritime disaster in history.  She was armed, not marked as a hospital ship, and some of the passengers were healthy soldiers being redeployed, so she was fair game.

https://unbelievable-facts.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/Wilhelm-Gustloff.jpg

10 February 1945 Marinesko sank SS General von Steuben, also an armed transport carrying a mix of soldiers and refugees.  About 4,000 killed:
https://vikinglifeblog.files.wordpress.com/2017/06/8bc9b-stabswachedeeuros.jpg?w=640&h=360

Although the most successful Soviet submarine commander of the war, even for Russia Marinesko was too drunk and surly to be a Hero of the Soviet Union and was awarded the lesser Order of the Red Banner instead.  Insulted, Marinesko ordered S-13 to dive when staff officers tried to board her for the presentation.  On his next patrol he stayed perma-drunk and S-13 failed to engage the enemy.  Marinesko was downgraded in rank to lieutenant and dishonorably discharged in October 1945.

Nice try Boris.  The Gustlov was marked as a refugee/transport ship and was only armed with a pitiful few AA guns before they were stripped.

And yes, it was marked with red cross markings.

And no, it wasn't carrying "armed soldiers to continue the war", it was full of refugees.

Sinking the Lusitania was more justified as it was carrying [confirmed] armaments to the allies than some drunk, retarded failure of a Soviet sub commander.

The War Production Board initially considered ordering the smaller auto manufacturers to build a single unified model of a stripped down "victory car" for civilian purchase while the big companies cranked out the military vehicles. Soy-based plastic body panels got some consideration to replace strategic materials.

The hood may be made from a plastic panel, but it appears the rest of it is actually an unmodified Renault Juvaquatre, which had to be fairly rare in California.  And installing rebuilt motors of every description into one body & frame design is obviously a nightmare.  As a victory car proposal this smells like BS to me, by the reporter or the inventor.  At best it's a proof of concept for one body panel.
