If they are in fact Electricians, I'll guarantee they don't do any work. I've worked on commercial jobsites that had a reasonably attractive woman as a helper/laborer. She didn't have to do shit! Guys from other trades would rush over to "help" her lift, carry or move any material. Even guys that weren't even in the same trade! It was funny as well as pathetic. Like when a woman comes into GD.

That crew covered for her for 6 months saying she was awesome and learning well. Finally about half the crew came to me and said she was a joke and hadn’t done work basically the whole 6 months. The other half of the crew was simping so hard for her that they straight up lied to my face when I asked. Shortly after the foreman that was fucking her was off for a few days and she got moved to my crew. Day one she did literally nothing all day. She was going around the site picking up rocks and looking at them like they were diamonds, and fucking around on her phone. She also danced a lot. I fired her. I think there was some weird mental deficiency there, but either way she stood no chance because that crew let her get away with murder from day one. If a dude had pulled the shit she did he would have got his ass beat. |

All of the chemical companies are really pushing hiring women… As far as getting respect, just know your shit and don’t mind some friendly joking around…like most “male” jobs A couple of the best operators in the the unit I deal with in my plant are women. It helps that they are smart and actually understand how the unit works vs a couple of the guys that still don’t after a decade of working there. |

ETA: Those airbrushed thots must have done the electrical and plumbing at my new place....I already had to replace the sockets for the dryer and am working on the one in the bathroom. I also was smelling something burning and thankfully I couldn't stand the light fixture in the kitchen. Well, when I changed it, burning smell gone. Today I get to work on the toilet flange!!! I too have worked most of my life in male dominant fields, but I'm also a male. You are giving excellent advice. I've worked with a good number of women over the years and my opinion of that is fairly low as a result. The reason being is that I've worked with women that could pull their weight in spite of the strength difference, but most choose not to. The few exceptions would get a sterling recommendation from me any day, the rest would make me step across the street to avoid them. The vast majority of women in the manual labor fields will find a guy to do hard/dirty work. That may be as simple as an older, protective "dad" or it could require light flirtation or more. As fathers we kinda tend to create this situation though. Assigning those sort of tasks to brothers or ourselves to save our princesses from lowering herself to that is the root. Most of the badass women I've known had dads that raised them like they would a son. @onlineallthetime I hope your daughter is looking into the I&C field. Texas is full of opportunities there and she'll have no trouble breaking $100k/yr right out of TSTC. It's also a more "civilized" trade than electrician. |

There was this ugly, married, no tits White officer who they had their way with and she was the butt of the battalion jokes - but she got away with being a shitty officer. Plus, I was the only non-White person there too. Anytime I see a castle or Essayons thing, I fucking get PTSD. Fuck the Army for using me as one of their "integration" bullshit tests. ETA: Didn't take me long to see what the 411 was. In past assignments, I had my nails done and wore at least lipstick..NOT THERE. It got to the point where I didn't even bathe after PT, I'd just put on my BDUs and go to work. And, I have classified Army Engineers as "grunts who can actually do math" |

I think she'll be alright. Good head on her shoulders, very smart (made President's List every semester so far), great work ethic, definitely not even a little bit afraid of getting dirty (as you say, raised them like they would a son) and not at all the type to attempt to capitalize on her looks. She's a beauty but doesn't think so. Spends 99% of her time in jeans, t-shirt, ponytail and no makeup. I have to ask her to please put in a little effort if we're going out to eat or something.

First major one was from a box cutter a friend was operating when I was 16 working at a grocery store & helping him throw out frozen. 6 stitches on the second knuckle. That same finger decades later got majorly tore up when I was cutting some sheet metal & I gave myself a huge gash on my last knuckle. Over a year before the tendons healed & I could straighten it. I’ve cut through work gloves so often I don’t even bother wearing them. Fine control is more advantageous to me than minor protection. |

We sat together in a room where she was the only female and the majority of the people in that room were male customers. She completely changed how they were expecting us to handle the deal (in our favor) and had the Plant Manager eating out of her hand. It was pretty damn incredible. We’ve known each other for a long time and sometimes butt heads, but she knows our business and, if you you can get her pointed in the same direction as you, she’s an unstoppable force. |

No women Infantry when I was in, but we occasionally had female FOs attached to us. Those did their job and didn’t fuck our guys and create a bunch of drama. No issues other than one of the married joes sniffing around on deployment and we shut that shit down right away. In my business, I employ a few women. The ones in the field last an average of 2 weeks. The ones in the office do their jobs and don’t fuck the guys. So no, I’m not talking about all women. I do paint with a broad brush. It’s called generalizing. It’s not always true but it usually is. All humans do this. I’ll also go on record as saying most no-beans chili eaters are losers. So yes, in general, women are not the best electricians. Or Infantrymen. Or weightlifters. Prove me wrong. I disagree on everything they do or don’t do being judged as being a female. The issue specific to this thread- making dancing tiktok videos while taking your clothes off at work- is something I’ve only seen from women. I think I already addressed your “3 posts down” point. It’s up to the supervisors to shit it down. There will always be horny men and there will always be women that exploit it. Both suck and need to control that shit at work. I do have positive thoughts on women, that’s just not the threads created here. Notice I never create these. All of the threads about women on this site are either about dating tips or complaining about them(divorce, mgtow, etc). So this isn’t the place for pats on the back for being a woman. That’s what Reddit is for. My thoughts on gender are as follows: men are physically stronger and generally better at logical decision making. Women are better at overall communication and nurturing. Both are required. If this offends you then, again, Reddit. |
