He will run until he dies and Kentucky will be happy to oblige him, just like Delaware and Biden, California and Feinstein, etc.
Incumbents only have the massive advantage they do because their constituents are incompetent. We do this to ourselves and then wish for government to make a law to protect us from our own lazy apathy like term limits, as if any of these cocksuckers are George Washington and will willingly give up power. |

We’re pathetic. We all see old fucks like this that can hardly drive down the neighborhood street and we put them in charge of a $6 trillion/year federal government.

In the history of the USA have we ever had these old feeble and dementia riddled people running shit?
I remember old dudes back in the day, Bob Dole was old, but he was of sound mind. But fucking Turtle, Feinstein, Biden, I am sure I am missing some more...Pelosi has always been a retard....it's like for fucks sake...just fucking leave office you old fuckers |

These geriatrics in congress need to get the fuck out of the way. Be like normal boomers and just watch the news all day. Don’t actually participate in anything important.

It's a good thing Kentucky recently passed that law to stop the governor from being able to appoint senate replacements from opposing political parties.

The truly sad part is these living dead politicians sincerely think they are performing a service for their constituents.

View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: We need age and term limits. This shit has to stop https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2023/01/30/house-gets-younger-senate-gets-older-a-look-at-the-age-and-generation-of-lawmakers-in-the-118th-congress/ The median age of voting House lawmakers is 57.9 years, down from 58.9 in the 117th Congress (2021-22), 58.0 in the 116th (2019-20) and 58.4 in the 115th (2017-18). The new Senate's median age, on the other hand, is 65.3 years, up from 64.8 in the 117th Congress, 63.6 in the 116th and 62.4 in the 115th. The median age keeps increasing because it's the same power hungry megalomaniacs that are getting reelected over and over. Yes we need age and term limits but the blame for this falls squarely on the shoulders of the American voters who keep voting for these same turds time after time. "Oh look they have the appropriate letter next to their name that's the person I'm gonna check on my ballot". We get the government we deserve. |

Serious question, what sort of medical condition is going on here? I assume it's something that you get a family member to a doc ASAP. Mini stroke or something? |
|
In the span of a month he’s had two TIA mini-strokes live on air and no one present bothered to call 911. That says a lot about the swamp.

Quoted: I bet he runs for another term of office. I mean he decided to run for Minority Leader again at the age of 80. I can easily see him running for office again in 2026 at the age of 84 and he'll run again at 90. You watch, the voters of Kentucky will inexplicably vote him back into office both times as well, what's that tell you? Unfortunately, we have an electorate completely blind to age as is evidenced by the abundance of Trump supporters here. Not one Trump supporter cares that Trump is 77 years old. Most the Democrats don't give a shit that Biden is 80. You people wouldn't hire a 70 year old man to watch your kids for an evening or want one as your Uber driver, but you'll turn over your lives and fate to one as President. It would be hilarious if it wasn't so serious. I don't know what to say? I make the point over and over and nobody seems to care. I know a lot of highly intelligent men who have reached their 70's and 80's and they're not at the top of their game anymore, which is why most had the sense to retire like normal human beings. These politicians are like crack addicts for power or have done so many evil things they're afraid of living without their political power to shield them. The longer past 70 someone stays in political office the more I'm convinced they have to be horrible people. We need to amend the Constitution so that no person who has or will reach the age of 72 by the time an election is held can run for office. If you haven't made your contribution to the Republic by the time you're 72 then you missed the boat. We put a lower age limit on holding office and damn it I think it's time for an upper age limit. Those with little to no future left shouldn't be dictating the future for the rest of us. View Quote I voted McConnell into office because it’s either him or some liberal fuck from Louisville or Lexington. Democrats haven’t learned to throw up a Manchin like candidate who could get elected because the socialists in the big cities keep voting in detestable hard left shits. Republican primary is a different story. Candidates I’ve never heard of and too many. Ky would benefit to have a primary primary to determine one person to run against McConnell. I’m not sure that would solve the issue because last primary McConnell got 80% of the primary votes. Everybody I talk to hates McConnell but yet he wins. My only guess is name recognition and republicans holding onto favorable moments like him blocking Garland or stacking courts. Maybe because he is a Ky resident in a leadership position while all other spots are from democrat states? |

I just don’t understand why, at that age, they still want to “work”?
I get that it’s not manual labor but it seems like a pretty hectic schedule and by then I’d think they’d want to just fade out of the public eye and go fishing or something……anything but doing “work”. |

Maybe because he is a Ky resident in a leadership position while all other spots are from democrat states? View Quote They can't get a serious primary contender against Mitch because he'd ruin them. They have 20 nobodies run who nobody knows and most are kooks. Mitch doesn't even bother campaigning against them. If someone with a legitimate chance seriously ran in the primary, Mitch would spend the money and put the machine in gear to destroy them. People know that and are just biding their time. I think people who aren't from Kentucky may not realize the power he has built up during his decades in the Senate. (I guess that is a legitimate argument for term limits, even if they are pretty liberal, like three terms in the Senate.) In addition to that, people see specific big things he's done, and hold their nose to vote for him. The only alternative is to vote for the far left D in the general election, which would be much worse. People act like Kentuckians should vote in a wildly progressive D just to get rid of Mitch. That is one of the few things that would be much worse than electing him. Once Mitch is out of the picture, the Ds may run someone like a very popular radio host who talks about Kentucky sports. He has huge name recognition, is relatively popular, and likes to say he is a common sense guy or whatever. Make no mistake, he's still a D, and I really believe would be just as loyal to the party platform when he got to DC as any of the others they have been putting up against Mitch in the past. While he might not be wildly progressive, it would still be another D and from a red state. One of the people wanting to replace Mitch is a lady from an ultra-rich family, who is believed to be very swampy. There are others who would probably run, some better than Mitch, some similar. Ultimately, it is going to ba a knock down drag out for who gets to replace him. |

We can’t get rid of him. I hear Kentucky has a Democrat governor. But the Senate Republicans need to elect a new minority leader STAT!!
