Exactly. I propose a special tax on NY residents that move to FL. Make it whatever they paid instate taxes up there for 15 years after moving down here since they are mostly older and require more EMS, hospital, and other services.

It is simple fact. And if you don't think that politics places military bases where they are, you are mistaken. Just try to close one of those bases and local politicians both parties will go crying to Washington not to take away their cash cow. How many military weapons systems are based more upon political needs than actual need? This is often discussed on these boards.

IMO we should pull as many military bases out of blue states that we can - they hate the military anyway.
Same for defense contractors - they should be incentivized to move their operations to the red states.

Since 1970 the population of New York State has grown by just under 1 million to roughly 20 million.

Florida has gained 13.4 million residents since 1970 and now has a larger population than New York state and carries more electoral votes.

No Cuomo, it isn’t Trumps fault. Its your fault. Decades of liberal politicians faults.
