Can someone tell me what munition that was at 1:06? Some kind of EFP missile or artillery round. Seem to be a very strange and dangerous deployment of such munition right above your own tank.

Ukraine has the opposite with everything they want and need on their relatively secure and safe Western border. And England didnt have nukes back in the 18th century so it's not a perfect analogy. |

The machines become faster, fly higher and have weapons more terrible, but the men fly them are the same, fearless, brash, arrogant and perfectly fine knowing that either they or their opponent is going to die. That was exactly my impression. I pray we are giving Ukraine something to improve the odds for their pilots. Very brave to go up when the enemy can target you at 60 km and you can only get 20km. It could drag out for quite a while. But we shall see I guess. The coming counteroffensive (and how it goes) will give us a better idea of where things stand in the coming months. This is a war of independence like the American Revolution. Ukraine doesnt have to destroy Russia any more than the USA had to destroy England and put 'ol King George in irons. (granted the Brits burned the WH in 1812 so...) Just getting Russia to GTFO will be a victory and that could happen relatively quick. Or could take several more years. But I doubt Russia can drag this out for much more than a year. The Russians are right next door and can make problems almost any time they like. That is the crazy part of this war. Russia only has to transport 100km into Ukraine and they are struggling. The US can project a better combined force12,000 miles. Maybe Ukraine should make it easier on Putin and move the front line closer to Moscow. |

Denys Davydov said something interesting on youtube today. The commander of the Ukrainian Army has regular zoom meetings with his Nato counterparts. He canceled today and said he didn't have time. That might be a clue something is imminent in the works.

Privately they're probably more than happy to accept any kind of security assistance help they can get. |

I think another factor is that if the west is weak in supporting Ukraine right next door, it will signal to China that it will be even weaker supporting Taiwan. A strong decisive support for Ukraine might help deter China from adventuring. |
