I like the Altus-600 because of the range and AI features, it can be a jamming system, an kamikaze drone, or other aid depending on the cost you want to spend for it.

I don't think they're disappearing that quickly. We're still dealing with the legacy of Soviet era IO.

Maybe because it's all fake? There is ABSOLUTELY ZERO footage about this war in the media.

France has about 250 of these that are being phased out in favor of a new vehicle. The question is, are they going to take them from current units before the replacement is ready? 2030 was the estimated completion timeframe.

It hasn't for me. It does make me think that more of the Right is stupid than I thought, though. It's mainly the national populists who went for this crap and neither nationalism or populism are really Rightist.

Ukraine knows what was blown up. They know exactly what was there

Well, yeah, but from what can be known in the public sources is that it is an old Soviet style ammo and aviation gas storage site that has been well known for years.  I wouldn't put anything new or useful there during a wartime situation.

This is similar to the attack last week that turned out to be an expired ICBM fuel storage site.  Impressive boom, but probably not the new Western weapons that the Russians want us to believe.

It’s staggering to me this long in the war Russia finally hits that target.  Did they run out of shopping malls and apartment buildings or did they just miss?

That happened right away in GD.

No. It's a bastard. The NATO standard is 105x617, which is what they'll use in the Leopard 1A5s when they arrive.

Just pay attention to how Russian propaganda uses fear.

Rusnia is trying to dispel a new fake that a stockpile of depleted uranium for tanks was blown up in Khmelnytsk and that due to this, radiation increased. And they give a picture with an increase in gamma radiation...

However, the truth is that the rocket attack on Khmelnytsk was carried out at night from May 12 to May 13, and the increase in radiation has been observed since the afternoon of May 12 and is related to the increase in solar activity, which was warned about last week.

Nope, only used by the AMX-10 main guns.

Is there any other gun using this ammo? Found nothing.

Nope, not only in Ukraine but in the world . It's a proprietary ammunition only made by Nexter and only fired by the AMX-10 RC.

Exactly!

China will fill the void.
Hell they've been coordinating a lot of their propaganda BS for years anyway.

There was a hilarious thread here a few weeks back in which the OP argued that the US government is more corrupt than the Chinese government. The really sad thing was that in the poll, about half of the respondents said that the US government is equally or more corrupt... This place is doing its best to embody idiocracy.

It's mutated from a hate/distrust of government to one of America at large, even if they won't admit it.

It would be very interesting, and I suspect disappointing, to see the results of a thread with a poll, "Is America A Force For Good In The World?"

Media from an explosion in 2010
"The remains of the car are not on the territory of the enterprise, which is surrounded by two rows of barbed wire" and "Unit A-3013 has nearby warehouses with aviation ammunition.
The case is being investigated. It is only known that the ammunition warehouse has been operating since the Great Patriotic War. And in the 1990s, surface-to-surface missiles were found just in a ditch near the Gruzevit warehouses."

The depot originally stored munitions for the 85th fighter regiment.
When the cold war ended the nuclear silos and infrastructure from the 19th Rocket Division of the 43rd Rocket Army where dismantled the rocket fuel has been stored at the aviation munition depot waiting to be sent to Pavlohrad but has never been moved.

The problem with wanting a cheap drone to do things with is one of scale. You have to design it to use components that are available in sizeable quantities. You also have to design the airframe to be produced like M&Ms. And, you have to have the facilities and manpower to create an assembly line capable of doing all that in today's environment. Tough problem to try to solve.

I never ever nor did my SO and my SOs relatives had these pre conceptions about Ukranians in general.

Every single refugee here in Hungary has assimilated and integrated far faster than the normal cesspool 3rd world bottom feeders.

Daughter unit and my buddies families children integrated well with watching Supernatural, playing PS5 games and playing outside.

The kids are kinda passing me off a bit because they are already speaking much better Hungarian than myself sometimes.

Their vocabulary has been spectacular amd far reaching.

My buddies wife is already close to opening up her own beauty salon and my wife unit is gonna help her with the cafe shop part one block from my house in Kőbánya Budapest.

Overall, Ukraine belongs to the west and there is a reason why Putler and the Orcs want it so bad.

The other article talking about Poland and Hungary, I don't agree with it because Poland offered Hungary Westinghouse Nuclear technology but that was costly and it doesn't sadly beat the zero interest loan and terms from RusAtom.

Also the PaksII is already partially built.

The problem with the PaksII reactor is that those fucken Orcs figured it out on making their shit nuke stuff not workable with western tech.

In the end, work with Hungary on a good nuke power deal that is favorable and Orban will dump the Orcs like a hot burgonya.

Orban is corrupt and I think that explains more than this nuclear stuff. Some of his conservative programs seem structured to enrich him and his friends and I'm sure he has no problem taking Russian money, too.

There is more anti-american hate and rhetoric on this board than most others. It's getting bad, idk if it's idiots falling for stupid conspiracy shit or actual folks here with the goal in mind to instill that rhetoric...but I've been here for a very long time and I never ever imagined I'd see this place like it is now.

I could type out 6 paragraphs on the subject, but in short, the soft target demographic that has historically always been preyed upon are the “down on their luck” gang in need of a boogeyman, and on this site, business is booming.

Thanks!

There is definitely a pattern trending with these old weapon sites and Russian disinformation the past few weeks.  I see it's pretty effective unfortunately.

France has about 250 of these that are being phased out in favor of a new vehicle. The question is, are they going to take them from current units before the replacement is ready? 2030 was the estimated completion timeframe.
Thos AMX-10RCs look like thirst traps desperate to get drilled for  Kontakt-1 blocks...

Does anything else in Ukraine use 105x527mm or is this sort of an orphan ammunition type to supply?

I thought it was pretty much a bastard, though wasn't sure if there some other platform that used it.   If they survive long enough to burn up the ammunition the French send, I guess the Ukrainians will mount something else on them.

Some lite reading on Russian artillery production.

For the record, RAND corporation has been so wrong on so many subjects relating to defense industry, so some discretion, but it's amusing none the less.

Wiki:

https://twitter.com/secretsqrl123/status/1658117642610253825

Uraltransmash (Russian: Уральский завод транспортного машиностроения) is a company based in Yekaterinburg, Russia. Currently it is a subsidiary of Uralvagonzavod.[1]

Uraltransmash is Russia's primary producer of self-propelled artillery. Uraltransmash also produces oil drilling rigs and some other civil products.[2]

In a 2019 research paper, RAND Corporation assessed the company as being "among the worst run enterprises in the Russian defense industry".[3]

Skeptical.

There's plenty of videos and photos of repairs being made. A cruise missile cratered a street, and destroyed a large water main within a kilometer of here. Our water was back on within 24 hours.

No one's sitting on their ass. Life goes on. A picture is not the same as being there. There are probably holes and a lot of damage the camera doesn't catch.

Morocco still has about 100 in service so there will be ammo production for a while. France can probably supply Ukraine as much as they can handle.

Yes. Disaffected "victim" groups are prime to be leveraged.

I like the Altus-600 because of the range and AI features, it can be a jamming system, an kamikaze drone, or other aid depending on the cost you want to spend for it.

lol, I know you were.

You wouldn't believe the requests for such a cheap item though.

You are correct on all counts, it's an interesting set of problems to try and solve though for any company wanting to get into that game.

Sounds like a job for Henry Ford and Vertical Integration
henry-ford-can-still-teach-us-a-thing-or-two-about-business
...Lastly, vertical integration the way Ford envisioned it — with a giant company owning the production of all the materials in its supply chain to ensure availability and reliability — has long dissipated in favor of a focus on corporate core competencies, where companies outsource everything else to global business partners.

I hope so too, but it doesn’t matter, he endowed a whole bunch of NGO’s with most of his fortune to carry on his vendetta against the West.

But I do hope he is in Hell now.
