👉 Switzerland will pay Ukrainian refugees from $1,090 to $4,355 to return home, reports local publication SWI. The Swiss government has developed an appropriate strategy for the return of refugees to their homeland after the end of hostilities. Although it is now impossible to predict when hostilities will end, officials' plans assume that temporary protections for Ukrainians could be deactivated in 2024 or 2025. You will be given 6-9 months to leave after the end of your protection status. According to Swiss authorities, 80% of Ukrainians (about 70,000 people) will be able to return home voluntarily. Since after 5 years of continuous stay in the country refugees are entitled to receive a Swiss residence permit category "B", Swiss officials believe that everything possible will need to be done to effectively encourage the voluntary departure of Ukrainians to their homeland 👉 Putin confused Uzbekistan with Dagestan and thanked the Uzbek president for developing “Russian-Dagestan” ties. 👉 🤣 Vice Speaker of the State Duma Anna Kuznetsova: - “Ukraine’s income from the sale of people for organs amounts to 7% of the country’s budget” - “Children are sold to the West for organs” - “Anglo-Saxon PMCs are doing this” - “and this is financed by Coca-Cola” 👉 “Odessa is, of course, a Russian city, but a little bit Jewish” according to Putin 👉 The Supreme Shaman of Russia said that there will be no nuclear war. 👉 The number of obese Russians has increased by 36% since 2009 - to 3.5 million people - Ministry of Health. Teenagers aged 15-17 years are increasingly suffering from obesity. Because of this, the agency proposes to ban advertising of products that do not correspond to a healthy diet and create a positive impression of them in children. 👉 From October 1, 2023, banks will not be able to use SWIFT to transmit financial information when transferring funds within Russia; they will be required to use only Russian services and domestic financial infrastructure. 👉 In Vladivostok, parking meters stopped working due to EU sanctions. FLOWBIRD told Digital Primorye that sanctions against Russia are increasing and they can no longer continue to work together. Now devices for cashless payment for parking in the city have stopped working for an indefinite period. 👉 The fine for failure to appear at the military registration and enlistment office on a summons in Russia has increased tenfold from today, from 3 thousand to 30 thousand rubles. More on the Slingers.
Australia’s ‘Drone Killer’ Air Defense System Bound for Ukraine Australian defense firm Electro Optic Systems (EOS) is sending 10 Slinger air defense systems to Ukraine to help combat Russia’s kamikaze drones. The lightweight weapon can reportedly take down hostile unmanned aerial vehicles at a distance of more than 800 meters (2,624 feet). It can be mounted on standard vehicles, such as pickup trucks, to provide the needed mobility to dismounted Ukrainian soldiers. Additionally, the “drone killer” promotes ease of use for first-time users as it can be operated with a simple joystick and a screen. “It’s very quick and easy to learn,” EOS test engineer Charlotte Capper told ABC News. “You don’t have to know much about the technology. It’s easy to see what each thing does and how it does it.” Ukraine is expected to receive the counter-drone systems by the end of this year. ‘Hitting at Low-Cost’ According to EOS, the Slinger leverages a tracking radar and a 30-millimeter Bushmaster M230LF stabilized cannon to perform a precise “hard kill.” But most importantly, the system is designed to support low-cost operations, eliminating the need for more sophisticated and pricey anti-drone weapons. A single engagement using the Slinger air defense system would only cost Ukraine between $100 and $1,000. “Sometimes, those missiles cost millions,” Ukraine’s ambassador to Australia Vasyl Myroshnychenko told the outlet. “And you hit the drones, which cost $20,000, right? And it’s all about the cost.” A unit of the weapon can be bought for less than 1.55 million Australian dollars ($986,000). https://www.thedefensepost.com/2023/10/06/australia-drone-killer-ukraine/ |

If a couple SOF teams can do noteworthy damage to Russian forces and their proxies in Africa, it's well worth it. I also wouldn't be surprised if they start hitting the Russians in Syria, too (we already know they were planning on doing this). The logic is similar to the semi-random drone strikes we've seen inside of Russia proper. The Russians can't be on guard all the time everywhere, and a few slip ups can result in some emotional moments. |

To top it off, the Duma passes a law stating it is not a crime to commit murder, rape or torture in the occupied territories. Their blood, their bones, their ashes lay on the streets for days as the russian invaders blamed Ukraine for their torturous deaths. We have always known russia murdered them in Olenivka. russia has has always known that russia murdered them in Olenivka. But now, the world knows too. For every drop of blood russia has spilled, there will be retribution, there will be justice, but there will not be forgiveness. Not in this life. Not in the next life. Not even in the life after that. No matter what the odds, we will rid our land of these russian terrorists, these russian bastard invaders. Swiftly or slowly, painfully or painlessly, but always justly, we will rid our land of these occupier scum, one by one. In the name of our fallen heroes. The rotting corpses of these rabid murderers and plunderers will lie lifelessly as wild dogs devour them. Glory to you, defenders of Ukraine. May your souls finally find peace in the fields of Elysium. Slava Ukraini View Quote |

Very candid video interviews.
Our apartments are unlivable—no electricity, no water…
A Russian blogger came to Mariupol to show the revival of the city and add optimism to the situation, but SOMETHING WENT WRONG... Listen to how ordinary city residents live in the once prestigious Cheryomushki district after more than 1,5 years of Russian occupation: - out of 25 apartment buildings, only 2.5 houses remain after Russian attack; - no lighting at all in the night in a whole district; - the occupying power avoids as much as possible compensation payments to people for repairs (they refuse compensation if a person, for example, has a formal 8m2 in a barn outside the city); - they give compensation not for the size of the apartment, but for 1 person registered in it); - people were simply deceived by promising full renovations of apartments destroyed by Russian bombings immediately after the occupation of the city - and then the administration simply retracted their words; - residents to whom Russia today pays $100 pensions are offered to make repairs in their apartments themselves, which approximately costs about $10,000; - the sewerage collector in a district was destroyed and not restored; - the city water supply service does not work because workers are not paid and are on strike. In fact, all these people were liberated not from the “mystical Nazis,” but from all their property, which they had earned throughout their lives. But instead they were given Russian passports! This sentence is still actual always: "Russia will always screw you over, son!" View Quote |

Not going to clutter up this thread with a bunch of Israeli posts (yet). But it is horrible. HAMAS and whoever else breaking through the border from Gaza and overrunning IDF vehicles and even a tank. Stripping a killed Israeli woman and displaying her throughout Gaza. Headshots. Running wild through the streets killing people.
It will be interesting to see the impact this has later on Ukraine. Right now the west will be outraged and Israel could or only plow Gaza under as a barren field with general approval.yet nothing going on is any worse than what Russia has been doing in Ukraine daily. Perhaps the gloves will come off there as well? 5,000 rockets launched into Israel. Iron Dome covering the sky. Hamas fighters pouring through border fence breaches. IAF bombing Gaza. We express our support for Israel in its right to defend itself and its people," the Ukrainian foreign ministry said. Tank was taken out with a drone bomber. Battles for five hours. No announcement by WH. Ukraine has expressed support. Israel seems to have been caught flat footed. Iran is most certainly backing HAMAS. |
