Habeas Corpus is writ issued by a court, upon motion from an interested party, that commands the jailer to produce in court, the person being held.  It allows the court to inquire into the person's well being, the reason for they're detention, and review whether the detention is excessive, inappropriate or a violation of the person's rights.

It isn't automatic, it doesn't always yield a release, and it won't happen unless someone makes a motion for a writ.

The common reasons for a writ of habeas are:

1)  Reason for detention:  Any person arrested and detained must be brought before a magistrate within 72 hours to have the charges they're being held on announced, explained, etc.  A person cannot be held without charges and a presentation of those charges.

2) Inhumane Treatment: The conditions in which they're held must be humane, and provide for basic human needs.

3) Speedy Trial: Finally, the prosecution has to bring the case to trial within a certain time limit (speedy trial).  This timeliness varies from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, but where I am, a person can be held for up to 180 days before trial provided, or longer if the defendant delays or waives.

4) Unreasonable Bond: The person so held has the right bail/bond/release based on the nature of the charges, and they're flight risk.  Exceptions are made for particularly heinous crimes.  Insurrection, it's what they're calling this, is likely one for which bond might be excepted.

Then there's Article I, Section 9 of the U.S. Constitution which provides that "[t]he Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it."

If they're calling it insurrection then they'd fucking well better charge insurrection and have the evidence to prove it.  No showing up to court with a "trespassing" charge after claiming insurrection as the reason for holding people without bond.

The Obama Administration spent your tax dollars on #Minerva

It continued under Trump (so did Fauci), proof that some are too big to jail.

Nudges are psychologically informed tools designed to promote behavioral change in order to improve health and well-being. In this review, we focus on three areas of concern: theory, evidence base, ethics. We begin by discussing the problems arising from the theoretical framework that nudges are based on and propose an alternative framework that helps to classify nudges into two types (Type 1 and Type 2). We then evaluate the evidence for nudges in the health domain, drawing attention to critical empirical issues (internal and external reliability) that explain the limited evidence base for their effectiveness. The review ends with an examination of the implications of the theoretical and empirical issues we discussed with respect to current debates regarding the ethics of nudge.

#psychology behind #deplatforming: #Minerva Results Ten Years Later

P. 38: “...Given that dominant individuals by definition have greater access to resources and have the most to lose from changes in the status hierarchy, we expect that high-ranking group members invest proportionally more in manipulating group threats than low-ranking group members.
In an initial study, we found that people are especially willing to pay to manipulate such apparent threats when they hold a high-ranking position in the group, and that this manipulation is cost-effective at eliciting cooperation and suppressing competition over within-group dominance.”
Read the image of the study... and think of January 6th. Think of who we now know the players are in at least one corner of that protest... and now think about what comes next.

https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2021/06/3-tactics-to-overcome-covid-19-vaccine-hesitancy/

https://hbswk.hbs.edu/item/how-influencers-celebrities-and-fomo-can-win-over-vaccine-skeptics

“Based on the traditional diffusion model, the number and types of people who adopt new products or seek to get vaccinated in a population can be classified into five segments: innovators, early adopters, early majority, late majority, and laggards. Each of the five segments has its own behavioral and demographic characteristics, with varying levels of uncertainty about the value of product characteristics that are resolved over time.
The central premise of the diffusion of innovations framework is that customer or patient segments that adopt early will influence later adopters. Innovators will influence early adopters, who then influence the early and late majority, who then influence the laggards.”

5 Shocking Facts About The Clintons and Haiti You Likely Don’t Know

April 15, 2018

Everyone remembers when the Clintons (Clinton Foundation) invaded and capitalized on Haiti after the earthquake of 2010, but not everyone is aware of the nefarious acts that have continued for years since. Below is only a taste of the power and control the Bill and Hillary Clinton duo maintain over Haiti. And make no mistake, their power and connections do not cease with Haiti.

Cut off due to suspicious activity?

Seems to be a lot of that going around.  So much of it, that it's happening to accounts I never knew I had.

Apparently, the India version of "I know I am, but what are you?" is "and you as well".
