Low impact cardio. Burn them sugars. You'll feel better once you cross over.

AHHHHHAHAHAHHFUCKSHITDAMN!

I haven't been able to train seriously in over a month, did some piecemeal stuff while in Turkey but our schedule made consistency and weight gains tough, not to mention the Turks diet blows, low in protein and high in carbs, everything is served with lots of rice or bread. (I love bread, but its not good for me ect ect ect)

And I have another month to go before I can start going back to the gym with purpose and a plan again. this shit makes me itch.

The good news is that I found a bad-ass gym not too far away I might actually pay to go to.

I did a power clean to get my bar up to my rack, felt like I was going to pass out. Felt like absolute shit for my whole workout.

I hope it gets better soon.

I miss carbs already.

I'm calling Joe's Grill to either get a Carne Asada Burrito, or the Bacon Cheese Burger... The struggle is real.

In somewhat related news...my oldest boys and I climbed Mt Whitney this week. It was awesome. Further proof that you can do a lot of good with little cardio and a lot of lifting. 22 miles round trip, 6,000' elevation gain for 14,508' total. Mild altitude sickness (unavoidable when you live at sea level and only have 1 day to acclimatize). Got a few blisters (training would have been nice to avoid those) but otherwise an unforgettable adventure.

Very nice. Heck of a hike. It sure looks dry up there. What trail did you take?

I'm doing Broke Off on the 1st of September. Then Shasta when the weather clears in the spring. I might try to slip in Whitney next year too.

Look into taking Ibuprofen the morning of the hike to try and fix the altitude sickness before it starts.

Kids today don't care about MJ... My guess is they pulled one glove to work the touch screen on a phone to take pictures.

I ate a million pizza rolls and burritos the weekend before I started. So, there is that.

Been right at about 30g of carbs for the last 2 days. It's awful.

I don't hate squats. They are just the devil.

Thanks guys,

We took the trail from the portal, 22 miles round trip. I think the glove was to prevent the strap rubbing from the hiking pole lol.

Back to the gym today but my calves are jacked up!

I ate two chicken boobs covered in home made bbq sauce and diced avocado.  At this rate I won't make my calories again today.  Apparently I need to start drinking coke.

Copied from another thread on food- Today is three eggs, cup of milk and coffee with scoop of protein sup, and a banana for breakfast. Two oz of almonds, mozzarella cheese stick, and Tiger Milk bar for snack. Six oz of chicken breast, peach, and apple for lunch. Not sure on dinner yet. We'll see what the wife unit whips up.

ETA- Beef taco salad! Beans, beef, Greek yogert (vs sour cream), and eleven hot peppers from the garden on top of six tortia chips.

I've been trying to keep some nuts around just to keep my calorie count up, I can go through a lot of cashews in a day if I leave them in front of me.

Pretty soon I'll be eating as much beef as I want.  I've already paid for it, just gotta get him chopped up.  Maybe have him killed next week.

Mmmmm.  My wife made some basmati/wild rice combo a few days ago when I first got home.  That sure hit the spot.

Uhhh yeah.

The marathon runners carb up then go run.

If you tried to run without any, you are gonna die.

Dibs on guns ammo, and anything else I find cool.

A 5K isn't too bad, takes 30 minutes more or less at a resonable pace.

Dibs on NV and related gear...
