I like that he’s a nerd that got into and really good at shooting.

It’s a refreshing change from the culture of former military instructors and the perception that unless one has combat experience they don’t know what they are talking about.

Statistically speaking (and this nerdery comes from either Jay of Mars or Competition Shooting Analytics on IG, can't remember which), about 1% of USPSA members are GMs, then next 4-6% (depending on division) are M, and you're top 15%ish (iirc) if you're A class.

When I was A class (M class now), I would do stand and shoots in public bays and people would stop shooting to watch because they were dumbfounded.  They couldn't comprehend that handguns could be shot that accurately at that speed, and I didn't (still don't, for the most part) consider myself particularly good.

Instagram has skewed what people consider good shooting, and High Hit Factors have crept up over the years.  An A class shooter today would likely win Nationals in the 90s.  The difference is the internet has enabled people to start at a higher level and get better faster.

I don't recall the story exactly so pardon me if I don't get the facts entirely right.

Anyway, about a year ago they came out their plate carrier.  They advertised it as made in the USA.  After they received them, they discovered that the subcontractor they hired farmed out the production to (IIRC) Mexico.

Although the quality was fine, they fire-saled them at a steep discount.

So, I can't speak to their religious practices.  I also can't speak to if he speeds up his videos.  However, I think they are pretty stand up business people.

That’s the way they explained it….

Also want to add, he drives a 4Runner so he can’t be all that bad.

One of the best videos he ever made was he sponsored an Air Soft shooter from Japan.  Put a real 9mm in his hand and ran some courses with him.   It was the first time the guy ever had a real firearm in his hands.  The video was actually real good.

I've bought a handful of holsters, and a few other products they sell. Thier plate carrier fit my wife better than her first spear since she is so small. They sell a lot of other good products. They have helped to normalize armor, short rifles, and NV. Lucas is very proficient and has an opinion. That makes people mad.

They are ultra based. They will continue to get my money.

They had a deal recently where they gave you a free AC1 PC with purchase of a set of plates. I already had a nice PC, but needed the plates so figured having an extra PC wouldn't hurt.

Everything was smooth and shipped fast. And it turns out that I really like the AC1.

That was my first shopping experience with them. The icing on the cake was there was some sort of brief questionnaire about whether or not you carry, 2a, etc. This gave an additional discount for being a good citizen or something to that effect. Great experience overall. I'll be spending more money with them in the future.

Even if he’s “only” A class, he’s extremely high level compared to the vast majority of the internet.

Maybe a better point to make is that most people don’t know what a “true” high level shooter looks like.

A USPSA head box A zone is 2x4”, and the head box is total size is 6x6”.  Is that huge?

Now try shooting that at speed through a port kneeling or squatting and it’s 20 yards away.

There’s a ton to action pistol shooting, much more than stand and shoot.  You can keep your boring bullseye shooting.  It’s gay.

I get acceptable hits, on the move, as fast as possible, all while handling an actual firearm...

I dont care about shooting tiny groups with a handgun, even moreso an airgun. They have a far superior tool for making those slow precision shots... its called a rifle. When I want to shoot slow and precise, I go prone out with one... and even then, I hardly waste time shooting groups.

no No NO

You MUST stand sideways to the target and slowly draw and present your sidearm to line up the perfect shot to sever the jugular of your attacker or else you are doing it all wrong
