Are you familiar with how Crunchyroll suggests anime series that you should watch by grouping them under a common theme? I shit you not, one of those themes that I’m seeing today for the first time appears to be self-consciously edgy, but would probably fit that episode of Spy x Family perfectly: “Children Avoiding Getting Murdered” It includes titles like The Promised Neverland, Ranking of Kings, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Attack on Titan, Hunter x Hunter, Tokyo Revengers, and more. (But at least some of those titles feel just a bit inapt, since the plot does involve some other kids who actually failed in the “Avoiding Getting Murdered” department.) |

Komi was able to effortlessly defeat pretender best girls like Nagatoro and stave off coup d'état attempts from threats like Marin, but now a new challenger has finally dethroned Komi. What’s more is it only took her two episodes to claim the Best Girl crown.

Since they've jumped backwards with the entire episode, I'm less optimistic on how far the story will progress by the end of the season. |

I have just, for the first time ever, purchased manga. I just ordered the first four volumes of Spy X Family in paperback. I'd have bought all seven, but I'll have to wait until I see if the world ends before my next payday.
I gave great thought to joining Shonen Jump, which comes out even cheaper yearly than an ARFcom bronze membership, but decided I'd rather have physical copies. I did read chapter one on Viz's website, and was surprised at how faithful the anime is so far. |
