I'm too lazy but you can throw KOn! in too. They spend almost as much time at not-McDonalds as they do in the club room.

A bizarre moment from the 1980 animated movie Dracula AKA Dracula: Sovereign of the Damned. This was a Toei Animatrion adaptation of Marvel Comics' Tomb of Dracula.

You sure it was a chainsaw?

On youtube, search for Japanese WTF Machine Gun Butt Girl.  It's age restricted, so youtube messes with links to it.

There were multiple girls, HS age I believe, and one of them could shoot a saw blade and chain out her ass.
I can't remember if they were good killers or bad killers, but I seem to recall they were killers.

Aha, here it is.

Yep. the weird artwork (early tentacle porn) goes back a few hundred years.

I recall a novel (modern, not contemporary) in which a character had a Rembrandt porn flick (flip book, you fan the pages and the characters move).
I never tried to find out if that was a real thing.

How does one of the most generic anime ever created get a season 2?  It's so generic they couldn't even be bothered to make a real pv for it.

Yeah being isekaied with a bunch of insanely hot and insanely violent servants has got to be great until you realize you got isekaied without the family jewels.  But at least you can summon giant goat like, teeth, tentacle monsters.

I think it would be more fun with the tsundere elf and being able to un-curse  your junk occasionally.

I'm not very far into the LN so I don't know if it's ever addressed, but couldn't Ainz use magic to give himself a working dick?  It seems insane that with that absurd level of magical power he couldn't temperately change form to achieve that.

Of course being an undead he doesn't have sexual desires.   Well, ALMOST no sexual desires.

One of the many reasons it is literally THE most ideal isekai scenario in the history of anime: the MC can easily create firearms using magic.

Continuing down the path of exploring some of the Crunchyroll TV-MA content that has been transferred from Funimation, and…

Less than ten minutes into ep. 1 of OniAi I’m pretty sure that it’s going to give Oreimo a run for its money - hell, it looks like it’s even going to leave the exceedingly memorable, over-the-top fantasy opening of Oreimo ep. 1 in its dust…

(Hint: The ‘Oni’ in the title does not refer to demons from Japanese folklore, rather it is the ‘Oni’ from ‘Onii-chan’.)

Halfway through the first monster fight is when I realized that show wasn't for me.  I'm not big on the over-exaggerated intentionally forced slapsticky comedy.  Reminds me too much of Will Farrel snl skits that were too forced to be funny to me.

Personally, I love absurdist humor. Some of my favorites so far have been shows like Is This a Zombie? (Mystletainn Kick!), Combatant Will Be Dispatched (You've earned Evil Points!), and Space Battleship Tiramisu. Basically, the more absurd, the better!

If you guys have any other absurd recommendations, please feel free to send them my way.

I just found it on HiDive - only partway through ep. 2 at this point - but I was immediately struck by it and absolutely agree that the outdoor background artwork is captivating.

There are times and places where subtle pastels are just what the doctor ordered, but this series is not one of those.

Instead, bold and brash is the perfect embodiment of Nazuna’s take on the essence of the ‘night’ - and not just fleeting glimpses either but rather the way that they dwell on those scenes rather than using them as mere filler material somehow just feels ‘right’.

Agree with all of the above. The setting and colors picked look amazing in almost all the scenes. Also agree that the character animation isn't my first choice style-wise, but I think it kind of works for the story so far and appears to follow how the manga looks from what I've seen online.

One other one that hit like "wow, this is great looking" was Great Pretender on Netflix.  Backgrounds and settings were just terrific IMO. Interesting storyline too.

Keep you head up,  I'm in the two hundreds and just finished another episode that really is great. Great storytelling, lots of emotion and character development.

One of the good parts of One Piece is storytelling. There is a lot of depth there. Characters I didn't  like before have a whole different level or two to them

Haven't seen it yet, but it sounds interesting so it's next on the list.

Thanks for the recommendation!

I'm currently watching And you thought there is never a girl online?, which has been entertaining enough but rather predictable. It's not nearly as good as Bofuri, but it's not too bad either. It does have a somewhat unique take on the video game genre, considering it's not set in a VR world like most video game anime are.

At least it's not a generic video game isekai, amirite?

The iconic Le Corbusier chair that makes a few as-yet-unexplained cameo appearances within the artwork probably does a good enough job of capturing the creator’s aesthetic sensibilities - that or an Eames chair would probably hint at a close enough match to my own (as perhaps evidenced by the Fada bullet in my avatar - sadly, I’m much more of a consumer than an originator when it comes to such things, but at least I have an appreciation for the classics).

I’m enjoying the slow rollout of the story without getting impatient - and I find the whole calm, matter-of-factness with which the whole thing is accepted by the ‘cast of characters’ to be an interesting approach.

It appears that curiosity and a sense of adventure are the key principles of this story.

Riko's optimism and desire to continue her journey is the only thing keeping her alive.

I kind of already read this arc in the manga. Even though this is and will continue to be Acid Trip the anime.  That theme is not lost.
