Conditions were pretty good as usual, I only had trouble hearing one station to the west of me.
six stations + NC this evening. Thanks to everyone for checking in. |

Like most living things, you run them through a combine, it'll pretty much take care of it.
|
I'm out for net this week, hopefully back next week.

I should be able to make it for tonight's net, start at 2330Z on 20M frequency.

As usual 20M is rocking. Everyone S5 or better with S3 noise here, the S5 was 50W into a portable vertical,
everyone else was S7+. Four stations +NC this week. |

I'll be present to NC tonight's net. 20M 14067.5 KHz again, with the net reminders starting at 2330Z.

Dang, with the signals I've seen so far tonight I bet we could run a much faster mode if we wanted.

It's gotten a bit noisy here in the east. Having some trouble receiving.

Killer signals again, pretty much everything I saw was maxing out the SNR here (I run with a 500Hz filter so I do the math, it caps out at +10dB)
Five stations + NC tonight. |

I'll be present to NC tonight. The following 2 weeks (5/3 and 5/10) we'll need a volunteer.
20M / 14067.5 KHz with reminders starting 2330Z. We'll see how conditions are, if they're really bad we'll test 40M. |

2330Z, 2345Z and 2350Z reminders out.
Heard one station testing, hopefully not QRT due to tornadoes. |

I hate FLDIGI. That is all.

Nice net, conditions weren't the perfection we'd seen in prior weeks but I had 100% copy on all stations.
I did notice some really deep fading for a couple. Four stations + NC tonight. NMBMXER has graciously offered to NC next week. I should be able to NC again in mid-May (5/17 and later) when work slows. |

As a reminder we have a guest NC this week, so the frequency is up to them, though presumably 20M
is the most likely candidate. I should be back to NC in a couple weeks. |

Net will be on 20m tonight, might need relays for anyone that I can't hear from VA. Warnings will start at 1930ET.

Heard the WA9.... station, 23 SNR in Colorado.

NC you are booming into WA

I know I'll never go home.
So set fire to your ships, and past regrets, and be free. |
I am getting zero in northern IL

I seem to hit IL better on 40m than 20m, I had 75% cpy on another IL station.

I had less than 5% copy on NCS this evening. I had some strong partials (80%+), but nothing was 100%. Some of my decodes were coming in as blocks seperated by nothing.
|
|
|
Crazy I can't get IL on 20m but two stations each about 120-150mi come in 100%.

It's weird. 20m is usually my "out West" band on phone and JS8. I tried JS8 right after net to see where I was hitting, I was pleasantly surprised.

Who is NC tonight? My usual 72' wire came down and I haven't got it back up yet. I'm going to run my BuddiStick tonight and need to know which direction to run the counterpoise for best pattern to net control.

Idk, maybe me unless @GreenDragon wants it. I can't remember if Seek said if he was out this week or not. If no one is calling the net when I get to the shack at 1930est I'll call it.

I don't think that I'll be home in time for net tonight.

I'll probably have the radio in listen-only mode, I'm done with work but I'm supposed to be meeting with a contractor at net time. |

The "A" index is at 28 while the "K" is at 2, I think the band just died. 73

Small net tonight with 2 check in's plus NCS. Solid copy on the CO station but it was like a switch flipped and I lost him. I figured FLDIGI had an issue but I just couldn't hear him all of a sudden.

Any more and I was having some RF feedback issues and losing the USB port to my radio. I also had the Chameleon MPAS 2.0 set up at same time. The BuddiStick gave me a slightly better (maybe 1 S unit) signal on receive. I like using my portable antennas! :-) |

I should be present to NC, weather permitting. We're having thunderstorms every day right now, so we'll see.

Seeing tones but no decode from someone, and have one of you in the buffer from around 3PM.
I'll start the count down at 2330Z -- contractors are running around so my timing may be off as I deal with them. |

I was basically saying that I heard you, or someone on the speaker. But, nothing on the waterfall or computer screen and no decode.
