Hunted up in the Sandhills region of Nebraska on a family friends 6700 acre ranch. Took this doe in the first couple hours of hunting, she ran into a pond after being shot and I had to wade into waist deep water to get it out(it was about 25 outside).

Is that a Chupacabra? No way is that a deer.

Its what one looks like if it runs into a duck pond after you shoot it. Reminded me more of a Coyote. Got 50lbs of meat when I finished butchering it.

Opening day (11/22) in W.Va. for our group.

3 Point fork buck, he had been hit earlier in the season in the back with a broadhead.  Through and through in the upper back.  Poor guy couldn't even hold his head up.  More of a mercy cull in my mind than anything else.  He still tastes good though!

This one was taken down later in the day...6 pt.

Opening Day WV

Here is the grade of hill I have to drag him up, 4 flats total, no ATV trail in there....

So here is the "Deer Retrieval Kit" I made: 100 foot of rope, 2 pulleys, 2 ratchets.  I ratchet one pulley and the rope to a tree, ratchet one pulley to the deer's antlers, put the rope through them and as I go down the deer goes up.

Here is my first hunting video, the action begins at the ~1:20 mark, you can't really see the deer as I shoot but you can see him running down to me when I reacquire it in my scope.  I could tell it was a lethal shot so I didn't put another on in him.  I kept the scope mounted camera running and at the end you can see a few close up shots.  I didn't want to turn the camera off as it creates a new file so after the deer is down kind of skip to the end.

2nd day NY.

Hit her with a Marlin XL7 .270 at about 60-70 yds. The buck I saw on opening day didn't give me a good target.

LOL, that camera's microphone is apparently very sensitive.  That is the first of three I have tried to get on camera that is was warm enough for the camera to work properly.  There is so much extra unneeded footage because I didn't want to dick with it, I pressed record and then focused on the deer.

Worst movement ever.  Bad moon, bad weather, missed the peak rut, and the acorns were every where.  I only saw 18 deer for the whole week, and only one other buck, a 6-point.  I sliced my buck's stomach open and he was full of acorns, he also had more fat than any buck I can remember.  I guess that's good though after the winter they had to endure last year.  Hopefully next year is colder and the rut is still full on.

I did miss a coyote this year, the first I have seen on my property.  I've been hearing them for 3 years and I finally see one, he was trotting, and I shot right over him.

I hunt in Harrison County, a spot called Big Indian Run.  There's not a lot of big ones running around, but there's quite a few 2.5-3.5 year old 8 points running around.

I hunted this guy for 3 days, had a ton of pics of him.  When this photo was taken by my trail cam I was 100 yards below him and he was 40 yards out of my vision, lol.

If you are asking about mine, Thank you, I've yet to measure him. He's in the deep freezer right now, till I find someone to do a Euro mount, or decide to do my own.

I'll try to get a measurement this week though.

I wish I took him!  A first time girl hunter shot him 1/2 mile from my house this morning.  I dont know what she shot him with.  My 2nd cousin killed a similiar 12 point on that same field last year.  I can only take one buck in this county so I am done.  I had that deer at 75 yards opening morning after I had tagged my 8.  There is always next year!

Just measured him.

Right G2 is 9"
Left G2 is 8 3/8"

I just scored him using the Boone & Crockett online calculator, came out to 105 2/8.

Been watching this guy grow since June on the cameras, saw him friday before opening day looking good and healthy, showed up at my stand on monday at 9:18 in the am after only coming out at night for the whole bow season......

but his whole left rack had been broken off so i had to let him walk and hope some asshat around me dosen't kill him.

On the other side of the property a guy had been watching a big 10 for a few and weeks monday morning it came running in under him and died. About 5 minutes later the tresspasser that poached it off our land showed up to get it and met him instead. Tried to say he had permission from my grandpa to hunt there, when i got there i said Ralph had been dead since 93 so i find that hard to believe. He said that Ralphs grandson gave him permission, i said i am ralphs grandson and he just turned and walked away left the deer and all. I was gona let him have it, and then turn him into the cops, but he just took off, and i didn't feel like chasing him. The last 3 years, the biggest bucks taken on my proerty was from poachers that got caught. Next year i've got 3 sherrifs i'm going to let hunt as long as they arrest and fine any tresspassers and hopefully that'll take care of it. I am fine with people wanting to hunt, but the way i look at it is i'm the one with all the money in property taxes, food plots, fencing and all the other costs that go along with it so nobody has any right to be there and hunt on the land but me and those i choose to allow.

Rattled in this buck Tuesday evening. I was busy watching a bobcat, I glanced to my left and he was 20 yards away staring at me. He ran when we made eye contact, I swung on him and dropped him at about 40 yards. He cartwheeled when I hit him and busted off the right main beam above the brow tine. Taxidermist said it'll be an easy fix, getting a skull mount done.

Killed this doe Friday morning. 175 yard offhand shot.

Both deer were killed on public land.

No offense, as that is a great deer and I would have shot it in a heartbeat, but I don't see 191" there.

I didn't want to say that either.

As I previously stated, it's a beautiful deer that I would have taken in a heartbeat.  Do you have any other photos at different angles?  Pics can be so deceiving.

No offense taken, I didnt shoot it, I didnt score it and I didnt believe it!  I will try and get some more pics hunted down.  It has 17 points.  I thought 3 were not scoreable points but they said the Taxidermist counted all 17 scoreable.  I didnt bust out a tape on it I just looked at it from a few feet away. Didnt even put my hands on it.

Here is another

This is all of the pics that I can get my hands on, not really to many different angles.

I doubt they will ever get it officially scored.  So we will just speculate...

I posted all the pics I can get of it above.  Let me know what yall think.  I could have illegally killed this deer opening morning if I was the sort to do that.  I had him in my cross hairs at 75 yards.  I was already tagged out though
