We need some movement in here guys. Comon...post some mk13's!! Getting into the mk13 game and I'm pumped! Rifle took a little longer than expected, but that's the way it goes. I got a good guy putting my rig together, I know it'll be worth the wait! Some mod0/1 pics would be greatly appreciated....

The Mk14 is a goofy ass rifle and was issued from Crane with a shitty barrel.  I put a medium weight Criterion on mine, and it's a hammer.  Here's another one of the Navy clones.

And the Mk13.

SOOOOO sexy! Thanks for sharing! Your not gonna get the barrel contoured for the mk11 can or rattle can her? I'm on the fence about it. Probably when I replace the barrel in 2 months/1500 rnds lol. Glued to my phone tracking my rifle to my FFL. My luck I'm gonna get delayed.

Thanks.  Still waiting on the ATF for Mk11 can, and I'll probably have the doughnut installed when I have it rebarreled.  I love this rifle, man.

Does anyone here have the contour print for the lilja Mk13 Mod 5 barrel ? Have everything ready to roll , just need the barrel specs and the contour print to give to my smith so he can start work on the barrel. Contacted Lilja directly they informed me that they don't have the print and they gave me Kevin's info (high caliber sales) . Kevin's a good guy but I'm not looking to send a barreled action to him and then play hurry up wait until it comes back ,waited long enough to get this project rolling.  Thank you for your time in advance.

Got my mk13 yesterday!!!

Prepped her for paint last night, and ended up finishing around 5am this morning after not being happy with a new paint I was trying out and doing it twice.

I'm happy with the way she came out. Cant tell, but there's 3 different browns, and 2 different tans. Was really going for Chris Kyle's mk13, since that was the inspiration to this long journey. Will end up contouring the barrel for the can next time around when this ones shot out.

Does anyone know the correct serial prefix letter for Mk13 Mod 5 receivers?

Also I read that the can needs fitted to the barrel.  If that’s true, who all knows how to do it?  I tried to get ahold Alan Brown but he hasn’t responded to my email.

Typically G prefix receivers

Yes the can needs to be fitted to the barrel. RWSgunsmithing can build the whole rifle for you.

Also in the same boat, emailed Alan and no response. Only thing thats holding this build up is not being able to find the print for the mk13 mod 5 lilja barrel contour.

Hey guys, so I'm heading down to San Antonio next week for training, and will be there for about 2 months. I'm allotted a rental for while I'm down there, so I'm gonna have my mk13 sent down to me while I'm there. Does anyone know any good long distance ranges in that area, or does any of you's guys live down there and wanna meet up to pew??? Would be cool to meet up with fellow enthusiasts while I'm there.

Keeping this thread alive - NSW with early Mk13 in Ramadi:

Just as a heads up, there's a long action MIRS rail up on ebay right now, which is correct for the Mk13 Mod 0 and early M24's.  Not my auction, but these are very difficult to find.  I actually have more Mod 0 stocks available than MIRS rails, so when I finally sell out of the stock/MIRS rail kits and only have stocks left, there will be some competition to find these rails.

On that note, I'll be listing an original SEAL used Mk13 Mod 0 stock with original MIRS rail on ebay tonight.  Please shoot me a message or post in this thread if you have questions about these original stocks, I'm more than happy to help out and share some knowledge with you guys.

So I fell into some parts for a new build.  I'm now building an M40A5.  I have in hand a barrel, recoil lug, scope rail, bottom metal with six mags, M24 trigger, PGW rail, and Surefire break.  I ordered the stock from McMillan and also spoke to Surefire and we ordered the FA762SS suppressor to my dealer.  Now I need to come up with a 'E' or 'G' prefix short action and we will be on our way. Man I really hate waiting.

Honestly, I'm not 100% sure - I just know that both the rear and front sight bases on the M24R are made by OK Weber.

Give them a call - they'll know exactly which sizes you'll need for a correct M24.
