I'd have to agree.  The character was well developed, well written and well acted.
He was consistently good throughout the entire series.

DS9 probably had the best writing of all ST TV series.

It helps when you copy Babylon 5.

The Q continuum was the villain.

The individual Q (De Lancie) broke/bent the rules to help out the humans.

I love the crap out of Star Trek. DS9 is awesome, but B5 is light years better.

Star Trek has had 50 years to build on the franchise.

The writing in B5 and how everything tied together even after so many seasons was simply amazing.

Alot of season 1 is... feeling it's legs, so to speak. Only ~4-5 episodes tie into the main multiple year story arc. Alot of daily life on a station type episodes the 1st season.

Power through the 1st season. After that you will be rewarded with the best scifi series to ever be made.

Not many people remember that the Star Trek series from TNG on drew from actors who were heavy on stage experience.

A lot of them specialized in shakespearean theater.
