It's a 1000 Island variant (there are countless ways to make it), but there's no "tartar" component to it, unless you just meant to say mayonnaise. Or maybe it's the relish that's added? I dunno. It doesn't taste anything like a tartar sauce.

I have no idea why people buy bottles of 1000 Island dressing. They all taste like shit, and you can make your own in literally seconds.

You realize chili was invented in texas right?  Thousands of restaurants serve it there.  Hell they even won top 25 best places for chili for some restaurants there.

It is actually kind of cooling off a little here.  I told my wife this morning we should pick up some stuff this weekend and make a pot of chili.

It will have beans.

Also, I don't really care for hotdogs.  But, when we have them I put chili with beans on them with a slice of Velveeta cheese.  Mmmm, Mmmmm.

We make and eat chili all the time , especially when it starts getting cooler weather .

Made some just 3 days ago.

Did you know there is a chili cookoff.

Yep every year.

What the HELL!?

How does OP not know anyone in Texas who does chili?

During my time at A&M everybody went to chilifest in Snook, TX. http://www.chilifest.org/

]

Every placed I have worked has a chili cook off and I make a mean venison chili.

OP cannot be a Texan.

I wouldn't say chilifest has anything to do with actual chili.  It's like they needed something to put in front of -fest and it just happen to be chili.  Yes they have a chili cook off, but the majority are just there to party

In a big ddamn hurry on a winter evening and I don't feel like cooking-

I'll open a can, hit it with some cumin, and a LARGE shot of cock sauce,a dash of Worcestershire, chopped onions on top, and store-bought tortillas.

Not bad- And I'm a chili cook-off winner.
