If you mean to suggest whistleblowers never disappear then I think your argument is specious but I can't prove that anymore than the NSA can credibly allege anything of anyone involved in this case. If he denounced his citizenship and defected to another country and longer a citizen employed by the us government would that contract be dissolved and not have to abide by the rules of said contract.

I get the IRS can get him for taxes up until he defected/ denounced citizenship

Yes he did have a contact with the us govt. However he didnt release anything till after he defected/denounced citizenship. From my understanding anyway.

So wouldnt he suit be a moot point? And just a show of power since they can't do anything about the book?

Bring on the flames.

Law360 (April 26, 2019,  7:39 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge has dismissed a long-running proposed class action over the National Security Agency's alleged unlawful mass surveillance of millions of Americans, saying the challengers couldn't show any injury and that there was no way to move forward with the case without risking national security.

One of the reasons I'm not surprised he fled.  Even if he turns out to be some squeaky clean whistleblower(which is highly doubtful), he has no chance at a fair trial if he ever comes back.

You also know the politicians and bureaucrats that put this plan in place were going to make sure he disappeared if he stuck around.

So much bullshit all around.

I think this guy is a worthless traitor, however the curious side of me wonders what was so bad that  he chose to throw away his life to expose it?

Either he is a traitorous piece of shit/retarded or he felt the government was doing a disservice to its citizens.

Question is did he hate his country and just chose to betray it due to hate, or did he really think it was worth sacrificing his life to expose what he did.

You've had the shitbag private work for you before, right?  The one that has a problem with everything?  The one that is always sea lawyering their way out of every bit of work?  That was Snowden.  He got butthurt, and he was on borrowed time with his clearance, so he was about to be out of work if he got caught.  That's basically the sum of it.
