Yes, I reckon that is all that matters.

And yes I do. I'm a history teacher and coach. I've been bored crazy with being out of school and all this rain and stuff we've been getting here, so that drove my post count up.

Don't worry, tomorrow I'll be at a wrestling tournament all day, so it'll slow down lol

So I wound up changing out my KAC rail with a Midwest 12" FSP. I had originally planned on the Centurion, but money was a bit tight, and this rail seems to be very well made and locks up rock solid.

Correct on all counts, but it is worth noting that the mount's ring part is specific to the Tripower, as the aimpoint one doesn't clear the Tripower's bezel.

My DSA Arms 16" M4 (with a Fail Zero NB BCG&Hammer)

Made a lot of changes since the picture was taken.

Replaced the UTG Grip with houge
Replaced the muzzle brake with standard A2 (hated the gas blowing me in the face every time I shot)
Replaced the ACOG clone with a standard red dot reflex

Got FDE ladder covers
Painted butt stock FDE

In the works:
Rifle length free float quad rail (chop the front sight)
PTK front grip
BCM CH
BAD lever
sling end plate adapter

Looks good but you need to swap out that standard sling swivel and get a side sling swivel that attaches to the fsb for the complete look.

Yeah, I actually just got the upper tonight so I figured I'd put up a pic.  The sling swivel is going bye-bye and I've already got a DD QD mount en route to use with my BFG 2 point.

Sometimes we get the armorer or do it ourselves and knock that side mount off, not a prerequisite for an M4 as I've seen whole units equipped with no side sling swivel, except for the M203's.

I've been issued many different M4's at different times that didn't have a sling swivel.  How many times have you been issued an M4?

Mine had the normal swivel that I never used, then we yanked the stocks off and mounted single point slings back there.

I like this. I'm working at putting one together exactly like this.Moving my EXPS from my block II to the PR/M4, and putting a 1-4 on the Block II to utilize the free floating barrel to a better degree. And I just like the simplicity of the M4, and the fact that I carry one regularly at work. Just feels like home.

The EXPS3 balances out just right on the 1.5 PR. Decided to Leave the 553tan on my block II. I'm liking the simplicity and handling on this M4 clone..

I've never seen a Colt M16A1 rollmark on an A2 forging.  The happy switch makes that a bona-fide M4 instead of just another clone

Yeah.  The dealer I bought this from roughly ten years ago said I had one of the last ones COLT had done before the BATF ruling stopped the practice.  It was brand new when I got  it.  I am told there are literally just a handful (5 or 6) of these in existence that are transferable. I was initially told there were fewer than ten. They are a very rare item for sure.  I really lucked out with this, but since it is so rare I've been less inclined to use it.
