Are all of these after-market colored to burnt bronze or are some of the uppers/lowers/rails sold that way? I have seen MI rails sold in FDE, but not burnt bronze. I believe they are all after market cerakote. Mine was. I haven't seen any dealers that sell parts already coated. I searched on Cerakote and found a few shops in Atlanta that do this, but their websites don't have pricing and it is late. What is a reasonable price for an upper/lower and handrail? Is burnt bronze a "standard" color that they will understand immediately when I mention it? I was also curious, does this process fully coat the inside of the upper and lower receiver or just the exterior surfaces? For all three parts your looking somewhere between $180-240. Cheaper if you know the right people ;).. As far as coating the inside. They are coated on the inside, but not quite as thick. Hard to explain. It's a spray on coating so it does go on the inside but it's hard to get it even. |

I'm very tempted to go with that color, but have just one concern - how flashy is it from something like 25 yards onwards? Does start to blend into a Coyote type color, or is it very strongly metallic even at a distance?

I was afraid of it being too metallic but its not bad at all. In fact I plan on dropping my SBR off next week to be cerakoted and I'm planning on burnt bronze. |

The slide is Burnt Bronze. The Frame is Coyote-Heat Cure and the light and some controls are Coyote-Air Dry. You can see the area on the light from holster wear. |
