Recieved a reply email from my House Representative to complete a Privacy Act form. Just emailed back the completed form. Will see how long a resolution takes.

From my experience, they are going to reach back out to you after their initial inquiry to the ATF for another privacy form. The ATF is going to tell them that because this is a tax paid transfer that you need to give your representative’s office consent to inquire about your tax record. Just get ready, because this will be another small delay.

Got the ATF privacy form within 30-40 min of return the Privacy Act form. Filled out the ATF privacy forms and immediately returned it. Late afternoon, so I probably won't see anything else until tomorrow sometime.

Good deal.

Here’s my guess- rep office will soon forward you a canned ATF response saying the process is delayed due to the FBI NICS check.   Rep’s office will then hopefully take the initiative to contact FBI NICS who will then magically get the BGC back to ATF and then you’ll get your approval.  Seems to be how these go when a rep gets involved.

I just got 4 form 4's approved just now. 3 forms certified May 9, June 3, June 17 on SS Trusts, and one form certified yesterday 7/11 (23 hours) individual from CA all came back approved today. No rhyme or reason to the time frames but I'm satisfied with the purchase of my first 6 cans and how long they took to get approved. I've got a Griffin Checkmate HD and an Obsidian 45 I've already received.

Finally!

EForm 4 through SS. Certified 2/26/24 approved 7/15.

They did a batch approval

Eform 1 through SS certified 5/16 approved 7/15.

I did notice that even though I had the maker on my copy, it's not showing on the approved copy.

No , I’ve been buying Nfa for over a decade , I’ve had machine guns take a year before . I’m referencing the 5 day turn arounds I’m seeing, I never seem to be that lucky. The month to three month turnarounds are pretty quick , fastest I’ve seen since I had an octane 45 come back in three months back in 2012.

Went and picked up my Explorr this week at Quiet Riot, they said they just had a customer whose machine gun was approved in 20 hours.

When I first started in the late 90's the standard was after the check was cashed approval always happened in 85-90 days and it was very rare to go over 90 days. I have seen 2 form 4's from estates that were both from the 70's and both approved in under a week.

You'll see an email from the ATF on the approval before Silencer Shop updates. There is something like a week delay to see anything from SS in my experience.

19 weeks today here. Once I hit the ATF's claimed "average processing time" for an eForm 4 trust application (currently 155 days), I'll reach out to the local politician to see if they can speed things up.

I’m now at 92 days for two, 82 days for one and started another today.  With my luck, it will be 10 months. I don’t have a common last name at all and no jr designation.  All individual e-filed form 4’s.  Have used two separate shops.   Here’s to hoping for a quick batch approval.  My only logical option now is to keep adding suppressors to the queue and hopefully that works!
